My story

I began a regular yoga practice in 2015, following a serious injury. Being forced to stop my high-energy dance practice,

I had a realisation that my body was carrying a lot of stress, built up from work and life. My sister recommended that I try

a 30 day yoga challenge. Creating time to slow down and tune into my thoughts and internal sensations

was hugely insightful and effective. It changed my energy levels and approach to dealing with stressors every day.

I have trained in Hatha, Ashtanga Vinyasa and Iyengar and qualified as a Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance,

by successfully completing a residential course at the Devvrat Yoga Sangha school in Kerala, India. 

I have also completed several anatomy and biomechanics courses.

My classes combine the tools, traditions and philosophy of yoga with functional movement.

Did you know?

The word 'yoga' derives from the Sanskrit word 'yuj' meaning 'to join' or 'to unite'. Yoga is a path for finding your truth. 

Many people often consider yoga to be the physical practice, however yoga is all encompassing, uniting breath, mind and movement. The philosophy of yoga offers a space for reflection, concentration and awareness of self, as well as a connection to others and our environment. 

Just in the same way we need to eat, sleep and clean everyday, I believe in the importance of cleansing and nourishing

the body and mind through movement hygiene. Using the tools of yoga, expect to develop awareness, build strength,

balance and take time to rest and recharge.
